Some Easy Ways On How To Prepare For Your Spelling Bee

Hello, Everybody. Welcome to another lesson on Spelling Bee Preparation. Today, we are going to learn some easy ways on how to prepare for a spelling bee. First of all, we are going to learn about making a study timetable for spelling. What is a study timetable? A study timetable is a kind of program that you make to organise your studies like spelling or school lessons. A spelling study timetable must have at least, a 10-minute break and a time for quizzing that you test yourself after learning or studying each day. The steps for making a spelling study timetable are:
a. Take a clean sheet of paper.
b. Write "Spelling Study Timetable" boldly and neatly at the top of the paper.
c. Write the days of the week in order vertically or horizontally.
d. After writing the days of the week in order, rule a line.
e. Write the various websites and books and dictionaries you use to study right after the line you ruled.
f. After writing the list of things to study for a day and the times you will learn them, rule a line before writing the list of things to study for another day. This will make your spelling study timetable look neat.
g. After writing the last day and the things you will study on that day and the times you will study them, rule a line and also, rule lines at the top and bottom and sides of your spelling study timetable.
h. Then, your spelling study timetable is ready!
These are the steps that are used when making a spelling study timetable.
Secondly, we are going to talk about making a spelling notebook or a speling log. A spelling notebook or a spelling log is a book that you write to find words with a particular spelling pattern and also to write spelling patterns and words from those spelling patterns. The steps for making a spelling notebook or spelling log are:
a. Buy or take a portable notebook.
b. Write your name and the spelling bee you are taking part in and write your name plus "spelling notebook" or "spelling log". eg: Mansa's Spelling Notebook or Mansa's Spelling Log.
c. You can start your spelling notebook or spelling log by writing this entry; Words ending with -ous and -us.
d. Then, search for words ending with these suffixes and write them anytime you see them.
e. When writing words with these spelling patterns, separate the ones ending with -ous and -us.
f. Your spelling notebook or spelling log is ready!
g. Look for more spelling patterns and words with a particular spelling pattern and write words you usually misspell.
